What is NOOK?
NOOK (Needs Of Our Kids) is a non-profit resource center started by parents in the Franklin Special School District to provide basic essentials (shoes, socks, underwear, basic hygiene and feminine hygiene) to students in the district on demand at the request of a school’s nurse, counselor or social worker.
How you can help!
Please consider a donation of toothpaste, shampoo, soap or deodorant to your school’s NOOK collection house. The collection houses are located in the school lobby. Items can be placed inside the houses at any time during the school year. NOOK volunteers collect all donated items, which are then distributed to students at the request of their nurse, counselor or social worker.
