Honors Program Info Meeting (Rising 6th-8th Graders) on Feb. 1

Because the FSSD is committed to a deliberate focus toward individualized and personalized instructional experiences, the district offers an Honors Program for qualifying students in grades 5-8. The Honors Program is ideal for students who have reached a level of academic proficiency which enables them to participate in a learning environment which delivers faster-paced curriculum, more rigorous and complex instruction that emphasizes more in-depth study, analytical thinking, and creative problem solving. The Franklin Special School District’s vision of Excellence in Teaching and Learning for All is the basis of all instructional programming.  The FSSD will host an Honors Program Parent Information meeting at Freedom Intermediate School on February 1, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. This meeting is open to families of rising 6th-8th grade students and presenters will address issues such as eligibility criteria for Honors or High School Credit classes, the admission process, and qualification notification....

Now Collecting Books for Used Books Sale

WANTED!!!! BOOKS – all types accepted, used or new, children’s or adult’s. Collection has begun and continues until Jan. 25. If you are cleaning out your closets during the holiday break, please donate any books that your family no longer wants or needs. Collection bins will be located in both lobbies.
