2017-2018 Online Registration Period April 1-30

The Franklin Special School District online registration period for all new or currently enrolled FSSD pre-kindergarten through 7th grade students is April 1-30. Beginning Saturday, April 1, please visit FSSD Registration and choose either the New Student Registration link or the Returning Student Registration link.  If you have a returning student, you will need to be prepared to log in to your Skyward Family Access account.Skyward will even auto-translate into dozens of world languages. The registration process will need to be completed for each child and you will receive all notification and confirmation of your registration through Family Access, including notices of important deadlines and the required information. If you have not already set up your Family Access account or you need help accessing your established account, please contact your school office. Your family’s unique user name will allow you to access all of your FSSD students. We are happy to report that required documents, including proofs of residency and immunization updates, may be submitted electronically through the registration process. Please remember, your child is not fully registered until all required documents, including the two proofs of residency dated February 2017 or later, are submitted to your child’s school either electronically or physically.   As a convenience, there will be computer kiosks or stand alone computers available in each school during the month of April for parents in need of online access or assistance with this process. If you need language assistance, please make an appointment with the parent liaison through the school office. Thank you for helping us to plan for next year by registering before the May 1...

Pre-K – 8th Grade Food Drive to support GraceWorks – March 28 – April 14

GraceWorks Food Drive – click here or see below for more details. Drive Away Hunger Challenge for Graceworks The Elementary and Middle schools in Franklin Special School District and Williamson County will have a food drive March 28 – April 14. This drive will benefit the GraceWorks Food Pantry. Students are encouraged to bring the following items to school for the food drive: Ramen noodles, granola bars, peanut butter crackers, cheese crackers, fruit snacks/raisins, mac and cheese microwavable bowls and ravioli/spaghetti microwavable bowls. All food should be individual sized portions. Cash/check donations are very helpful to GraceWorks, particularly for the Fuel Bag program. GraceWorks is able to use these funds to purchase food for pennies on the dollar. Financial support of the pantry also allows them to purchase food they rarely receive, i.e. shelf stable milk and fruit.  All donations collected with this event go directly to the food pantry and the fuel bag program. All checks should be made out to “GraceWorks” with the name of the school in the notes section.  Checks may be given to your child’s homeroom teacher. There will be two grand prizes awarded. The school that collects the highest number of pounds and the school with the highest average pounds per student will each receive $1,250. Darrell Waltrip Automotive Group is sponsoring this contest. The details for the contest can be found at www.darrellwaltrip.com/hungerchallenge. There will be several boxes in each grade level hallway and in the foyer of Poplar Grove Elementary and Middle School where food can be dropped off. If you have any questions about the food drive you can contact Keith...
